Dating back to 1700, the “Pharmacy of the Incurable” is one of the oldest in the world. There’s a small room that was once a laboratory where typical medicinal jars are now kept, and another larger room housing 400 historical majolica vases.

This old pharmacy is a magical place where time seems to have stopped. Come here for a fascinating journey through the history of medicine, chemistry, art and alchemy. It’s very well cared for and the guides do a great job of explaining the connections between alchemy and medicine.

It’s not always open to the public, so it’s wise to call beforehand to arrange an appointment.
