Pizzeria da Michele, one of the oldest pizzerias in Naples, is very famous for the quality of ingredients used. There are only two varieties of pizza available: Margherita and Marinara, both of which seem to melt in your mouth. The ambience is simple and the prices are relatively low – a pizza and a drink will set you back €7.
Why you should visit it
A visit to Pizzeria da Michele is a must. There’s one thing in particular that has made it famous all over the world – it’s the pizzeria from the film adaptation of “Eat, Pray, Love” starring Julia Roberts. It’s funny to see the photograph of her eating Michele's famous pizza with her hands!
Special tip
Avoid coming here from 1–3 pm, or you could be waiting a couple of hours. The best time to visit is at noon or from 4–6 pm.
