As recommended by AMEX Travel, we requested a cooking class in Paris. We choose to do the gourmet food tour and it was absolutely excellent. The tour was conducted with a patisserie Chef, we walked through an area deep with culinary excellence. Not only was the food stores visited outstanding, but the guide was very warm, open and explained so very well the rich history of the area, the awards of each of the shops, and recommended excellent products to purchase including an amazing pear and vanilla Jam. The company also purchased several cheese, wines and pastries to share at the end of the day. We spent the next hour or so enjoying the purchases and talking about amazing places in Paris. I cannot wait to return to Paris to once again visit this fine establishment.

Description

On this walking tour you’ll be guided through a delicious part of Paris by one of Cook'n With Class’s very own food and wine experts. Not only will you discover a little slice of the city’s gourmet food scene, but you’ll also learn about the backgrounds of the entrepreneurial artisans, pâtissières and chocolatiers who make this corner of the city so unique.

You'll also have the opportunity to interact with some of the artisans and will be guided through their products, which you may offer as gifts back home or savour while in Paris. Along the way we’ll sample a selection of cheeses and charcuterie, and pick up a dessert that we’ll take back to the cooking school.

The tour begins in the shopping area and ends with a light lunch and a glass of wine at our school.
