This place is dedicated to our first president elected after Velvet revolution when the regime changed in Czechoslovakia in 1989, it is a tribute to Václav Havel. Very modest and informal place consisting of two garden chairs, round table and lime tree (Czech national tree) growing through the table. It symbolise a place for democtatic debate.

This is such an off the beaten path spot, gathering place in a public space to promote 'democratic dialogue ' between civilizations, races and religions, a cause promoted and espoused by Václav Havel. Very actual topics these days... Some other "Havel´s places" can be also seen in few world cities: Washington D.C., Dublin, Barcelona, etc.
The memorial place was designed by world renowned Czech architect and designer Bořek Šípek, chief Prague Castle architect during Havel´s presidency.
