Letná Park

Why locals love it

Letná Park is flat and it is on a top of a hill and that means two things: perfect for roller skates and beautiful view of the city. In the middle of the park there is a kind of square with a huge metronome, visible from the centre of the city. In the fifties there was the biggest Stalin’s statue in Europe.

Why you should visit it

In the summer the park is constantly full (mostly of locals) and in August a great festival of the new circus called Letní Letná takes place there. For travellers who love theatre it is a great opportunity to visit some performances without language barriers even out of the theatre season.

Special tip

Besides, the beer garden of Letná is legendary. It is a little bit hidden in one corner of the park, but once you find it you won’t want to leave it.
