Description

A hike in “the rock city” of the Czech paradise (Cesky Raj in Czech), a Unesco world heritage site 100 km from Prague.

We picked the Czech Paradise among all the nice rock areas we have in the CR, like for example Czech Switzerland or Aderspach, because it is as beautiful as the other places but less crowded (it is mainly visited by locals) and close enough to Prague to make it a nice day trip with no too much driving.

The characteristic element of the Bohemian Paradise are beautiful castles and sandstone rock pillars.

Many of them have been shaped by wind, water, frost, erosion, and people into unique and curious shapes in many cases.

We will walk around, under and over many of the 365 sandstone pillars. We will discover rock gates, niches, caves and cavities, balancing boulders and rock mushrooms.

We will walk through “Lord of the Rings” like forests.

A hike full of fun due to the uniqueness and peculiarity of the trek.

A fantastic day
I went to Prague with my aunt. I am 48 and she is 70. As she wasn't used to ride more 'sporty' bikes, she was at the beginning a bit afraid. Eva was our guide and she managed very well to get her at ease. She was very helpful and friendly. It was a wonderful ride along the river. The places for the coffee break (with cake :-)) and the lunch were very nice, the food was good. We got back with the train and took a little ferry. We ended the day with a drink on a boat, a very nice place and not so touristic. The pictures will tell you a lot.
Beautiful and challenging bike tour
Tomas our guide was the best! The bike ride was every bit of 30 km and was pretty challenging for us since we don't bike much, but the castle was amazing. It took the whole day so be prepared for that.

Great tour
Definitely one of the highlights of my trip. The bikes provided were great, I forget their brand but they were definitely top notch, the guide was also really nice.

The pace was leisurely but can be as fast as you want. We wanted to go a little slower and take in the scenery.
