Old Harbour

Why locals love it

Space to sit by the water away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Its a constantly changing area so if old run down areas are of interest, pay it a visit.

Why you should visit it

The former Andrew Harbour used to be an open space teeming with artists, performances and studies, but has since been privatized. You can still find the odd survivor (like freak bike constructors and a floating concert hall) and sip beer on the wharfs.

Special tip

New spaces are popping up in the area so ask locals if something is worth visiting.

Industrial area not far away from city centre. There is a huge possibility that Andrejsala will be one of the Riga Biennial venues for 2020

That's a place, where you can spend many summer nights and days. That's a place, where you can enjoy talks between people and make your own picnic. It's pretty close to city centre but in the same time pretty silent.

Koya, Aqua Luna, First Dacha are quite posh but you can buy a drink in Spirits&Wine store and just stroll around. The "bustaurant" Ticket to Heaven" is open in summers, it's a simple place with nice view and democratic prices.
