In soviet times locals used to have small gardens and greenhouses here to rais their own potatoes, but time has changed for Lucavsala. Now it is a big playground for the kids, beach for adults and bike tracks for everyone. You can also make your own BBQ here, if there is grill that has not jet been ocupied.

Why you should visit it
Lucavsala is easy to reach by the public transport (troleybus nr 19). It is a beach in the city. Beach that comes with the baywatch, beach woleyball and lot of playgrounds for the kids. And of corese panoramic view to the city.

During summer organisation 'Sporto Rīga' has free sports activieties here. Check on Facebook times when they are happening
