This museum was a former power plant and today is converted into an art gallery that houses a collection of sculptures, tombs and mosaics from Ancient Rome, displayed amongst giant boilers and turbines that used to produce Rome's electric power.
This is one of the most conceptually fascinating museums I have come across so far. The sculptures, the mosaics, the machines seem to communicate, permeate with each other. After the madness of most touristic sites in Rome, this is a pure oasis of calm and beauty.
