Why locals love it
From fountain pens to gorgeous notebooks of every size, tiny reproductions of ancient naval compasses to finely wrought silverware, up to and including Neapolitan neckties, this little shop that I must have walked by a million times has it all. Stilo e Stile is the quintessential tiny Italian shop, full of little treasures waiting to be discovered.
Why you should visit it
While customer service can be an issue in Italy, that isn't the case here: whatever little gift you need (for others, or if it's for yourself, I hear ya), the shop owners are happy to show you a variety of gems. The day I wandered in, the lovely owner not only fixed my fountain pen, she patiently helped me pick out inserts for my Midori notebook.
Special tip
Venture in and have a proper browse; half the fun is poring over the leather pen-holders and reproductions of ancient navigational instruments.
