Our walk starts in the ancient Roman city of Tusculum, where nature has taken over the ruins of Roman houses, paths, villas and theatres. Here, you can find remains from the Roman Empire and the Middle Ages. It’s a wild and unexplored paradise where you can genuinely feel the antiquity.
If you want to reach the big cross on the top of the hill, the height is 670 metres and the landscape is breathtaking!
After Tusculum, we’ll have a little detour to the Gravity Hill, a hill where the gravity law doesn't work, before having lunch in the enchanting village of Nemi with a view of the lake, which is actually the crater of an ancient volcano. You’ll also have the chance to taste the traditional strawberries of Nemi.
You can then choose to either have a walk in the village overlooking the lake or visit the Museum of Roman Ships. The museum contains Emperor Caligula's vessels found in the lake and the ruins of goddess Diana's temple.
Then, we have a walk in a panoramic spot overlooking Lake Albano and, in winter, we can admire the sunset before heading towards Frascati, the most important village of the area. Here you can taste its famous and appreciated wines in a 'fraschetta'!
