Vitosha Mountains
Why locals love it
I love the Vitosha mountains due to their proximity to the city of Sofia and the feeling of serenity you have, when you are in the woods or on top of the mountains. There are several peaks in the Vitosha National Park, higher than 2.000 m. One of them is Cherni Vrah (Black Peak), which is in the top 5 highest peaks in Bulgaria, with 2.290 m.
Why you should visit it
Vitosha mountains is a green, peaceful and easy--to-reach place from the city.

It is the first Nature park in Bulgaria and on the Balkans.
