A Must Do to see Tallinn
It was our first visit to Tallinn and Hellie was one of the best tour guides I have had across Europe. She was energetic and very knowledgeable in the history of Estonia. For our short stay in the city we saw and learned quite a bit in 3 hours.
Thank you for a wonderful tour
Great Walking Tour of Tallinn
We went on a wonderful walking tour of Tallinn with Julia, a very knowledgeable young architect. She told us so many interesting things about the city, its history and its present. We ended at the new market area where we ate lunch and sighed over the fabulous berries. A half a day well spent!
Great tour in Tallin
We had a great tour in Tallin where we got to see a lot of interesting historical sights. Our guide provided us with the necessary insight to understand the historical background. Time went like a flash. Great tour and great guide with good sense of humour and very high grade of knowledge. Easy to make an appointmont - everything went smooth. Highly recommended!
Excellent overview of Tallinn and Estonia
Nils was fantastic, despite the "Estonian summer weather" pouring down on us for most of the tour. The country has a lot of very complex history, and our education was delivered with great wit and charm. Highly recommend both Tallinn and this tour!
Really good walking tour
We had 3 hour private tour with Ariel. Ariel was very professional, told us a lot of interesting stories and facts about Tallinn. It was also great not to be in a massive group of people. Good value for money. Would recommend.
Excellent, informative and entertaining.
Our guide, Katrin, was waiting for us a the meeting point which was an encouraging start. She was extremely friendly and her English was excellent as was her knowledge of the local history and culture. She put this across in such an interesting manner that no guide book could ever hope to convey. It was such a pleasure to hear about so many aspects of Estonia and Tallinn's history and sights that would have ordinarily just passed us by. I couldn't recommend this tour highly enough and wish Katrin all the best with her studies at Durham.
Guide: Katlin (sorry I don't have the correct 'a' on my iPad keyboard)

Ease of Booking: 5, I found the walking tours on the Internet and felt the 3 hour tour would provide sufficient time to get an overview of the City so that we could revisit particular sites if we wished to

Ease of payment: 5 with a quick response to confirm my booking had been accepted and the meeting point.

Meeting up: 5. Katlin was at the Tourist Information when we arrived just before 10.30 am and made contact with us. She described how the tour would operate and we could vary it according to the weather, if we wished to stop for coffee etc.

Guide knowledge and information: 5. We would score it higher if that was possible. Katlin is a final year history student at university and her knowledge was excellent. She provided an unbiased historic overview which gave us insight into the turbulent and difficult periods of occupation of Estonia by the Russians and Germans and Swedes. Estonia is a 'young' country having become independent in 1991 but is steeped in history.

Sites visited: 5. We saw the Government and Parliament buildings, churches, embassies, with Katlin's descriptions of the cobbled streets as we circled the Old Town of Tallinn. There were stops for photographs, particularly from the high viewing points.

Timekeeping: the tour concluded on time and we had covered all the main sites, with an idea of those we wanted to go back to and spend more time.

Overall: 5
Katlin's English was excellent and she responded to our numerous questions about Tallinn's history as well as current cultural changes as a relatively new country, it's ethos and aspirations.
We would rate our tour of Tallinn as 5+.
Mairi (forgive me if I misspelled her name.) was professional, informative, had a great sense of humor and because of her recommendation, we had a totally amazing meal at Leib Restaurant. Thank you.
Our family booked a private basic 3 hour walking tour of Tallinn. It was a great way to see the city and get some fun information without getting boring. We enjoyed our tour and our guide Ann (blonde Ann) was great!
Our cruise ship was docking in Tallinn for a short day and we wanted to see the main sights without being herded around on a cruise ship tour. After a quick internet review and consideration of a few options we selected a private walking tour, offered by Tallinn Traveller Tours. We were met at the main information office, having previously been supplied with detailed instructions of how to walk from the ship. We actually took a free shuttle and after our walk we were taken back to the bus stop and put on the bus. Our young guide was passionate about Estonia and very knowledgeable about her city. There was so much to see and she was so keen to show us that we walked continually for just over 3 hours without even a stop for coffee. Everyhthing about the walk and rthe arrangements was perfection.
