The Kätkävaara nature trail was renovated in 2010-2013, when the accessible route, piers and nature tower to the top of the danger were completed. There are also two fires and a fire lock at the top of the danger along the marked route. The route is 7 km long. The first 300 m is unobstructed from the length to the shed.
Kätkävaara is a bare-law danger located on the northern edge of the municipality of Tervola, with a height of 189 meters and whose legal areas are covered with stone crevices. There is nature tourism in the Kätkävaara area and signs of the oldest settlement in Northern Finland have been found there.
There is a separate 600 m unobstructed route around the stern pond.
