Törmävaara's Stone Age Village
Why locals love it
Tervola has been a true metropolis even during the Stone Age, located in Törmävaara. On the Törmävaara area, there is one of the largest united Stone Age settlements in Europe. Close to the sight, there is an old village school in Varejoki, where an exhibition presenting Tervola's ancient history is on display.
Why you should visit it
The atmosphere of the Stone Age living can be found in the dwellings adapted to the peat shed built in Törmävaara. On-site visitors can grab their backpacks and go to places where life was already 6,000 years ago.
