Why locals love it

The island of Mazzorbetto is a little island that it can be visited on the way to Burano. Locals use going there by kayaks or canoes, organizing hikes in group. In the island there is a fortress that was rised from French army in the seventeenth century.

Why you should visit it

Mazzorbetto is almost uninhabitated, except for the management of the fortress, made by the italian boy scout association, called "Agesci". This association recovered all the area and the building and now you can find also many vegetable gardens.

Special tip

You need to take the vaporetto for Burano and then for Mazzorbo.
