Why locals love it
This one-of-a-kind building was founded by famous artists like Gustav Klimt, Koloman Moser and many more at the turn of the century. The Secession should be an adequate exhibition space for the works of these artists, the so-called Secessionist.

Why you should visit it
The Secession is a signpost for the typical Viennese style of art called Jugendstil ( also Art Nouveau), which was drawing a bow between the frigid Historism and the Modernism. Today it is still used for exhibitions and you will find works of Klimt also in there.

Fun fact: There are bee hives on the roof producing honey, which is then sold as Vienna's city honey.
