These three white crosses are visible from most parts of the city centre. I guess for some locals they are a sign of faith. The hill itself is pretty high and offers a great view of the city.
This hill likes crosses – the first was built in the 17th century to commemorate monks martyred in the 14th century. Today, three giant crosses built in 1989 to replace the ones that were destroyed under Soviet rule, sit at the top of the hill. It's a great place to enjoy a view of the city.
There are two ways to reach the statue – if you come here by one path, go back via the other.
