You may be wondering what zapiexy are. A zapiex (a slang for zapiekanka) is simply a huge toast with cheese and ham. It is a kind of food we eat at 3 a.m. when we leave a club and feel really hungry. It is not expensive, filling and crunchy, and it takes you back to the old Polish socialism days.
