Why locals love it

This market is prominent of its dried fruits, sujukh, basturma, aromatic herbs and fresh fruits-vegetables. Also, you can find here extra fresh meat, fish and ingredients for Armenian khash. It's fortunate that the merchants don't mind tourists photographing their wares.

Why you should visit it

The merchants are friendly and they like to feed tourists the finest sweets, because every tourist is a potential buyer :) I advise you to try tomato tsukat, walnut stuffed figs and peaches and strings of syrup-coated walnuts known as sujukh.

Special tip

This market is just a 10-minute walk from city center.
