Vernissage is a big open air market (I would say gallery) which offers traditional Armenian jewelry, souvenirs, handicrafts and many other items. Here one can get bags, t-shirts, hats with typical Armenian pattern. Even we Armenians often shop here.

This sculpture that belongs to a famous Russian sculptor Merkurov is now laying in the inner yard of the Armenian History Museum, headless, under the open sky. It is not accessible to the public and if you really want too see it you have to talk to the policemen that are always around there.

"We and our dances" dance event

Every last friday of the month "Karin" folk dance group organizes free traditional dance lessons. The event takes place either outdoors at Cascade Complex (warm months, May-Sept) or indoors at "Naregatsi" Art Institute (Oct-April) and is designed to promote traditional dances through open class lessons.

The Cafesjian Center for the Arts is located in the very heart of Yerevan inside Cascade, one of the main constructions. Although it is a newborn museum and was founded in 2009 it managed to become one of the favourite places of the locals as well.
