Kresimirac is the last example of protected park architecture here in Zagreb. It contains lovely pathways, a strange old fountain representing the water cycles, and first public children's playground in Croatia. Locals love it because its tree tops can't cease to whisper the city's memories.

As with so many lovely sights in Zagreb, this one is really close to the city center, but out of tourist paths. You'll be surprised to see that even the locals don't enjoy it as much as they should. It's named after a Croatian king, but in the past, it used to carry names of Soviet leaders Lenin and Stalin.
Give a hug or a cheek kiss to the little boy statue inside the children's playground. It's something each little girl has to do once in a while.
