This is one of the oldest pastry shops in Zagreb that is still owned by the same family that founded it. It has kept a part of its original charms in its old-fashioned interior design. At the same time, it constantly amuses passers-by with new breath-taking fondant and marzipan creations in their shop window.

Why you should visit it
Orijent is a little family business with decades-long tradition and fresh seasonal offer of cakes. Unfortunately, that means you won't find any ice-cream in winter, but it's a perfect little spot to get a touch of past times, when there used to be many similar pastry shops all over Zagreb.
Special tip
The cakes are pretty expensive but are made of natural and seasonal ingredients only. Their ice cream is unbeatable.
