Why locals love it
This bar is the headquarters of the leading speleology and hiking club called Velebit, one of the oldest mountain sports clubs of Zagreb. This also means it's a favorite meeting spot for adventurous spirits and young active urban people. You don't have to be a club's member to stop by. Everyone's welcome.
Why you should visit it
It's a great affordable bar in the center of the city... also, if you're on an adventure hunt, this is the place where you can get all the information and advice about hiking, mountaineering and speleology in Croatia. Although it's in the center of the capital, it must be the best place to start your exploration of Croatian wilderness.
Special tip
When in the Velebit bar, order Velebitsko beer produced by a little brewery from the area of the great Croatian mountain called Velebit.
