Tour guide Paul was such a terrific guide: very nice, lovely man with a great sense of humour and very knowledgeable! I did the Golden Gower Tour on Sunday. LOVED the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea. Loved the scenery in south Wales! Paul played some wonderful Welsh music on the tour when he wasn't giving information. Like......music by Karl Jenkins!!! On the tour we also passed through the town where Karl Jenkins was born! Also, we walked along a beautiful coastal path for about half an hour. And we visited a neolithic burial site where Paul gave a lot of information and where his great sense of humour again showed. If you are in Cardiff, do this tour! You will have a great day!!!

Highlights

See the stunning Gower Peninsular with its golden sandy beaches and rugged coastline

Dive into ancient stone-age discoveries and prehistoric wonders

Description

Your tour begins with a short visit to the newly refurbished Dylan Thomas Centre at Swansea to glimpse at the life of one of Wales' most celebrated poets.

Then, we visit Gower for the rest of the day. It's Britain's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and by the end of the day you'll see why. (Visit Wales on 'Gower')

With fantastic views of the beaches from cliff tops and hills, coastal path walks, beach walks, ancient stone-age discoveries and plenty of fresh air, this day will surprise and delight all newcomers to Wales.

The main highlights are walking the coastal path and a visit to Rhossili where you'll have the chance to explore the 'serpent in the sea' and soak in the spectacular view of Rhossili Bay.

We complete your discovery of Gower with a visit to the northern shore to visit Weobley Farm for superb views of the salt marsh and where there just happens to be a ruins of an ancient castle.

Never a dull moment in this day trip with Adrian, the tour guide, taking us through the sites of Gower peninsula castle, beach, bays, neolithic burial chambers and regaling us with stories in a fun and informative manner. Couldn't recommend it more to anyone looking to discover south Wales.
