Why locals love it
Once upon a time, the Atomic Cowboy bar was a favorite post-show watering hole for concert goers flooding out of the nearby Bluebird theater. Today it still is, but the funky establishment has also come into its own as a jack-of-all-trades worth visiting at any time of day.
Why you should visit it
Two food vendors inhabit the bar: the Denver Biscuit Company which cooks up decked out biscuits in the morning and afternoon, and Fat Sully's, which serves giant slices of pizza until late at night. Pair these with daily bar specials as well as a happy hour, trivia, billiards, board games and a few plasma screens and you've got a perfect hangout.
