It's a pie shop... or is it? Passing through the bakery serving as a cover business reveals a subterranean haven of exposed brick walls, plush arm chairs, intimate nooks and an elegant bar right out of the roaring '20s. Yes, they serve pie too. The Green Russell is another fantastic creation of local chef and etrepreneur Frank Bonanno.
Contrary to appearances, the quality of the cocktails here has never been a secret. Under the astute eye of award-winning bar manager Adam Hodak, fine spirits are combined with herbs grown in house and ice chipped off the block in antique fashion. For a time the drinks here far outshown the food, but a new chef on staff hopes to change that fact.
The house rules bluntly require you 'dress smartly', but this is Colorado so the bar isn't set very high. Enjoy live jazz Sunday and Monday from 7 pm.
