Why locals love it
Rovaniemi's City Beach is located at the river bench just across the Lumberjack's Candle Bridge. Beach is public and open all year around, in summers there's nice sand beach inside a lovely park, in winters the ice-hole swimming is open for public. The beach is first shallow then quickly getting deeper, the swimming area is marked due the stream!

Why you should visit it
The ice-hole is open through out the day, Sauna is only provided in Wed from 17:30 - 18:30. Swimming costs 3€/person and Sauna usage 5€/person. Clothes can be changed nearby hut. The swimming activity is organised by the Ounasvaaran Latu ry. Ice swimming season starts 7.10.
Special tip
Don't dive in the ice-hole with your head first, the water is shallow and you might break your neck!
