Great way to get acquainted with the city!
We really enjoyed our tour with Aleksander! After doing a ton of walking in cities before Krakow, we really wanted to rest without missing out on our sightseeing. This was an amazing affordable option. We got to see many major sites of Krakow while the guide provided history and significance. It was great to get to decide where we wanted to spend the remaining time we had there while seeing everything too. Aleksander was informative and even provided us with blankets when it got cold.

We were picked up from hotel at 8am for Auschwitz and Birkenau. We were shown around by a guide with the added advantage of headphones with her delivering her facts of the sites. On the coach you watched a video of the insight of the atrocities of the Holocaust. This was a very moving tour and very well organised. It was quite emotional walking around the various buildings and trying to imagine what awful experiences these prisoners undertook. Everything was original which made the experience so moving. Seeing the shoes and personnel belonging s of the innocent people that were led to their death. We were then taken by coach to the Birkenau camp. I found the feeling of that place different from Austwitz as you see from old photos and films the people getting off the trains and being separated from their loved ones and being sent to different parts of the camp. We were shown the bunk beds where several people had to share them with various diseases waiting for their death. The wash rooms and toilets. So many of the buildings have gone but you still get that feeling of poignant insight into the Holocaust. This took about five hours all in all and very rewarding experience.

Ask at your hotel for a guided tour ( don't be tempted to get a man in a cab taking you there).
Discover Krakow - Day Tours . Were brilliant .
The air conditioned coach picked you up from your hotel at the time they said they would.
Staff spoke perfect English.
Dropped you off at (in our case The Salt Mines). You had a sticker so you knew your group. and which coach to get on after the tour.
Done all the tour tickets ( price was included in picking you up tour admission and dropping you off again).
Arranged your guided tour spoken in your language ( ours was English ).
You felt safe and well looked after.
Very impressed and highly professional.

Overall a really good experience
This was a really great way to see the city if you are tight for time. We chose to do this today which was our last day, as we had planned tours the previous days. The guide/ driver was so helpful and so friendly. We unfortunately didn’t get his name, but whoever was driving the 9:30 tour today, was really great!! We purchased tickets separately for Schindler’s factory, which you have an hour in. At times it does feel rushed because you can’t stop and look at everything but you get a good enough feel for the museum. Overall a really good experience I would highly recommend!!

Best tour I have done in Europe.
David ran a terrific tour sharing his unique knowledge of the history of Krakow as we visited sights away from the main tourist hotspots. His passion, enthusiasm and care for his guests was at a level above that I have experienced from any other tour guide. I have done about 40 tours in Europe over the years and this was the best.

If you want a quality experience that you will remember Krakow for take this tour.

We booked through the hotel on arrival into Krakow to go to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines. It was brilliant value for money and we thoroughly enjoyed the trips. Auschwitz was very emotional but something that everyone should visit if they get the chance.
The Salt Mines were amazing although be aware of the 380 steps down straight away and then a couple of hundred after. You do get a lift up (thank god).

The staff were very good for this tour. From the angelic faced tour guide on the bus, best looking girl in Poland to the very detailed tour guide. We had a informative video on the bus ride there. We then visited both large camps, the first with the gas chambers and then the main camp with the brick buildings and SS HQ.

Its horrific historical knowledge but has to be visited if your in the area.

Brilliant!
This was a great way to start our stay in Krakow. Highly recommended, as it gave us a true overview of where to find things in the city and decide what to do and what to see on the days that came later and even though it was extremely cold outside, in the car it was much warmer and we could enjoy the city. Do it, you will not regret it.

Interesting and important experience
The guide was very knowledgeable and did a good job of conveying the gravity of the situation as well as highlighting the experience of the prisoners. This is a sad but thought-provoking tour that everyone should participate in if they have the chance.

Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour from Krakow
Quite good tour
The tour was quite good overall. The time schedule was more or less what it was supposed to be. The tour guide was informative in general but after some time I felt she was repeating herself and i was not getting new information. In Birkenau (second part of the tour) we had no headphones which made things a bit more difficult but it was still ok.
One remark, is about the pick-up from the hotel feature of the tour. I asked if it was possible to be picked up from my hotel and i was told it is not possible which was not a problem for me. Same thing happened with more people i guess. If you cannot offer pick up from the hotel, you should not advertise it as something definite but something possible.
Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour from Krakow
Great tour but poor guide
Everyone should attend Auschwitz at some point in their lives to reflect on the atrocity that occurred. The tour is conducted with appropriate respect but group sizes are large and spaces within the buildings are limited. The guide was not a natural! She was monotone throughout, essentially reading off a script, no personality whatsoever! The tour is disorganised in places due to a constant change in staff.
