We did the City Cruiser Ride today with Mike and it was even better than we had hoped for. This city is incredibly rideable and quite lovely to boot. Pair all that with Mike's vast knowledge of all things Krakow and his skill as a storyteller and you have the perfect day in Krakow, like we had. Our son (who is 3.5 years old) enjoyed the stories and stops as much as we did. And the restaurant where we shared a delicious lunch together is such a treat. It was one from a list that I had hoped to hit while in the city and it was as part of their route. We loved the bikes so much that we took them home for a daily rental and tomorrow we'll explore even more on own. Thanks again to Mike and the crew at Cruising Krakow! Luke, Nichole and Felix

Description

We’ll bike past a 900-year-old market before beginning the tour at the almighty Grunwald Monument. From there we’ll ride through Krakow’s pretty Planty Park to the Jagiellonian University, where we’ll walk across a medieval courtyard and enjoy the spectacle of the courtyard clock with its parading wooden figures and ceremonial music. We’ll then continue our journey to the Bishop’s Palace to catch a glimpse of the famous “papal window”, then cycle on to the beautiful Wawel Royal Castle and the legendary Dragon’s Den.

Afterwards, we’ll take a relaxing ride along the Vistula River to the Jewish Ghetto where you’ll see remnants of the Ghetto wall and Oskar Schindler's Factory. By this time we’ll have worked up enough of an appetite to enjoy a hearty meal at a traditional Polish restaurant.

We’ll begin our journey back through the bar-saturated streets of Kazimierz, before following the royal route all the way to the resting area of Poland’s only Leonardo da Vinci painting – Lady with an Ermine. Our final stop will be in front of the beautiful Slowacki Theatre.

I got off the plane at 9:00 and was on the bike tour at 12. This was my first trip to Krakow and it was a great way to learn my way around the city and learn about Krakow's history. Mike was a great guide and the tour helped me decide where to spend the rest of my time in the city. The biking is not very strenuous and I highly recommend this as your first stop in Krakow.
I was very impressed with everything about these bike tours. Much faster and easier way to see the city than walking, not too fast to enjoy the scenery as if we had done it on the little buggys you see. The bikes were comfortable. Mike was super friendly, helpful and had an amazing knowledge of the city and all of its history. He was able to answer questions, give meal and drinking recommendations and tell us about other good tourist activities. We did the city tour and the Country Bike Tour. Both were brilliant. The tours are well planned and timed just right so that you get to special things along the way (the trumpet player in the tower, for one). Can't fault Mike or the tour. Well priced. Highly recommend it.
