Why locals love it
An old factory of artistic hardware was restored, giving rise to a bar and a room for performances, mainly concerts. Great Portuguese and foreign bands have passed here and it’s a full house on those days. However if there isn’t a concert, there will be conferences, plays or exhibitions.
Why you should visit it
A wide space divided into two floors, the stage is on the ground floor and on the top floor, a mezzanine with a balcony where is possible to assist the performances.
Special tip
The name Santiago Alquimista comes from the street’s name, Santiago, a holy warrior and alchemist, a mixture of poetry and science.
