You’ll ride across Martim Moniz Square – the starting point of the legendary tram 28 (a must-do when visiting Lisbon), see Saint George’s Castle and pass through Baixa – the heart of the city, which was rebuilt after the great earthquake of 1755. Baixa is Lisbon’s main shopping and financial district, featuring elegant squares, pedestrian streets, cafés and shops.
Next, you’ll visit Príncipe Real – one of the most interesting spots to walk in Lisbon. It has a romantic park and is located near Bairro Alto, where you can find many boutiques, traditional antiques shops, art galleries and colourful historical buildings.
After exploring the Estrela Garden – one of the biggest gardens in the city, with a pleasant café and a huge variety of unique trees and plants, you’ll pass through the Santos Design District and ride on a lane overlooking the Tagus River.
During the tour you’ll also have the opportunity to taste a typical Portuguese pastry.
Your guide will share historical information, engaging stories and little-known facts about Lisbon in a fun and relaxed way, and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
