Perfect evening
Before this trip. we have never been on a sailing yacht before. We totally fell in love with this experience.
We had an amazing time sailing with Mario. It's an excellent way to see the city by boat and relax.
Mario was very welcoming, he gave us many details about Lisbon, about the Portuguese culture and this made the tour even more special.
We have enjoyed a beautiful sunset as well - the evening could not have gone better.
Thanks again Mario, you deserve a golden star.

Support the locals
I highly recommend this tour. It gives one a glimpse of history, culture and city life in Lisbon from a local’s point of view. He ( Pedro) veered away from the touristy sights and instead brought us to the 3 or 4 neighborhoods where we were lucky enough to experience the festivity in Alfama , to which we returned for 2 consecutive nights( Sardine festival)
Pedro even dotted our tour with some songs and poems which made It entertaining.

We came across this tour accidentally while searching the internet and could not have been more pleased. Our guide Nuno was very informative and knowlegeable. The tour lasted a little over three hours and we visited great places that we probably would not have done on our own or we would but not known all the history behind it. I would highly recommend the chill out tour!!

WORTH IT!
Such a fantastic way to see Lisbon by foot. My tour took us to all the spots that NO other tour driver would think of taking you. So it's worth doing it but be prepared to wear comfortable shoes. Lisbon has lots of stairs and hills. Also, make sure you had a good breakfast because they don't do any stops and bring a water bottle.

Five stars for sure!
The tour far exceeded my expectations. The tour guide was knowledgeable, lively and very passionate about food and the neighborhood. I loved the area and different places she showed us and the food we ate. Part of our group met up again the next evening for dinner at the Mozambican restaurant. I definitely recommend the tour!

I took the market tour and cooking class with Isabel as the Chef, and Luis, an owner, as a tour guide and host. The class and tour had 3 other students, so the size was ideal. Each student had individual attention, and just enough cooking to keep us all occupied without feeling stressed. The Mercardo da Ribeira was quite the sight to behold! A huge market with fish, meat, breads, fruits vegetables, etc. The fish mongers kept everyone entertained with their knife skills. In addition, there is a giant "food court" attached to the market, where we stopped for refreshment (pastel de Nata) before heading back to the cooking school to make a delicious 4-course lunch using the ingredients we just purchased, including squid, sausage made with pork fat and flour (used in an egg dish), chicken in a pot, and potatoes, rice, tomato, and a very unique and tasty local sweet. All the while, Isabel and Luis kept us well informed of local ingredients, including the freshest fish, while Luis kept our wine glasses full of local wines. We also tried 4 types of olive oil, made in Portugal of course, and the conversation flowed very nicely. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the food and the company, and plan to take the pastry class as soon as they are settled into their new location.

Two tours (two days): †Lisbon‡ and Sintra
My family and I took two tours with Miguel and we were consistently pleased with the tour. I was a bit concerned with how the tour might turn out—I’ve been in Portugal a couple of times, a long time ago. However my wife and teenage son had not. Miguel was extremely attentive and adapted the tour to both what we told him specifically and what he was able to discern from our interest. It was only the three of us and Miguel spent the entire day with us (arriving a few minutes early and ending time was when all locations were covered).

The first day of the tour was of Lisbon (including Belem). We did a combination of walking and car. Though I’d been in Lisbon previously, I had never seen the diversity of locations. We also occasionally stopped for a snack and coffee (and he made suggestions, offering us to choose where to stop). The second day was Sintra and Cascais: Again, the diversity of locations and how Miguel sequenced what we saw was perfect for what we were looking for. I have no reservations about recommending Miguel.

Portuguese people have beauty, art and poetry in their daily lives. And it looks like this has been the case for centuries as can be seen from the beauty of Sinta and the lyricism of Fado. But coming to a more younger form of art, Lisbon is bursting with young thinkers who are using the generations chosen form of art to express them selves. Mainly street art. The street art movement seems to have found a place there. And seems to be supported and appreciated as a form of beauty and only done as form of expression than its commercial value. The young artists in Lisbon have a lot to say and they leave it all on the walls. It also attracts some of the best street artiest from all around the planet. If you want to get to know Lisbon in its current form and see how the young see it I recommend you do the street art tour as it made me fall in love with the city and they young energy which it is holding. Thank you Lisbon for being so beautiful and a place for the free thinkers!

We booked the Campo de Ourique tour because we wanted something off the beaten track. We did not want to go to the usual tourist traps and learn about the things we could learn about in the guidebooks. We were not disappointed. Filipa took us to the market where we saw raw ingredients; we ate appetizers from octopus salad to game croquettes; we tasted wines; we had "the best chocolate cake in the world" (trademarked) and amazing custard pastries. The best thing about this tour was that it was done in a relaxed, unhurried, and personal manner--like old friends meeting to chat while walking around town. Filipa also gave us great information about other parts of town/restaurants/stores to visit that we followed. Here, too, we were not disappointed. We kept her map as a constant reference throughout our trip. This tour was a wonderful experience, and we were very thankful that Filipa helped us to experience Lisbon more like a native than a tourist. Do this tour first.

My unforgettable street art tour in Lisbon!
Before I ordered my street art tour I was aware of the reputation of Lisbons street art, but I wasn't expecting to get amazed that much as I did during this trip. We were a nice little group who were interested in street art, so it made the communication really easy and interesting between us. We were picked up by our very charming guide Jose´ in his van and drove out of the city center where we were introduced to most amazing street art I have ever seen in Europe. Thanks to Jose´s very friendly, warm and down to earth attitude, I enjoyed my tour very much. His engagement in street art was genuine and he had very friendly approach to the locals where we have seen the most of the street art. That was specially important since we were taken to the earlier "troubled" neighborhood. This was a perfect way of exploring the Lisbons other faces. I would very highly recommend this tour to everyone who is interested in having a different approach to Lisbon!
