Me and my partner went on this tour and had a wonderful time. The guild was very informative and fun to talk to and the beers and food we tried were incredibly. Definitely a must do for beer lovers and anyone who wants to see the fun side of Bavarian culture.

Description

We’ll explain how beer is brewed and fill you in on the fascinating story of German brewing – a story as old as Germany itself. For as long as there have been Germans, there has been beer.

From the ancient tribal Hausfrauen brew-women, through the great monastic breweries of the Middle Ages, to the revered Reinheitsgebot (Purity Law) of 1516 – which continues to be the measure of excellence in brewing today – the world has looked to Germany to set the standards of what a great beer should be. And Germany looks to Munich. We'll show you why.

We'll give you a private tour of the beautiful new Beer and Oktoberfest Museum, show you a traditional beer garden, tell you about the different types of Bavarian beer and let you sample them for yourself.

And we'll introduce you to the best traditional Bavarian food in all its variety: Weisswurst (white sausage), dumplings, roast pork and more. Don't eat before the tour!

5 stars!

5 star rating without a doubt. Keith was an excellent guide and showed us several amazing places for food and beer. I will recommend this to anyone who visits Munich.

Our guide was Roland. He was funny and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our tour and made new friends. 4 stars, thank you.
Informative Talks But I Wanted To See More
The tour guide was knowledgeable and engaging but I think the tour itself had some design flaws. For starters, I think we wasted too much time moving the tour group from the tour company's office to the starting location of the museum. This left us very little time to see the museum.

It didn't help that we also had to wait for people who showed up late. This isn't fair to the majority of attendees, we really should depart on time or very close to it. At least the booking site "Like A Local" requires attendees to show up 10 minutes prior to departure.

Maybe a little more time spent on beer tasting as well, even if we have to sacrifice some of the history. And definitely more time about the food.

Finally, abandoning us at the Hofbrauhaus without any instruction of how to work it (basically just grab an empty table, lurk if you need) could have been handled better.
O
We stuck in a traffic jam because
Of a bad weather And we could not be on time for the tour. I wrote to them about two hours before when I was released that I couldn’t get on time. I ask at least for a partial refund because we were 5 people and it’s a lot of money and they didn’t want to.

Great day trip
Iain was a great tour guide and extremely knowledgeable.
A great tour
Our guide India was super friendly, knowledgeable, and down to earth. The train ride down was beautiful, the castle was exquisite, and the heavy metal sausage shop in Hohenschwangau is an oddly wonderful place for lunch. I highly recommend this tour.
Very informative tour, highly recommend Nicola as a tour guide
The tour was seamless from start to finish, our Tour Guide Nicola was very well informed on the history and spoke clearly in English.

I would recommend this tour for English tourists in Munich and ask for Nicola. She also gave some great restaurant recommendations!

Awesome Day
This trip was amazing. Ian was the best tour guide and I seriously could have just taken the trip to sit on the train listening to him explain the history of Salzburg and it's interesting facts! Highly recommended.
Loved this excursion
This day trip was wonderful. It was well organized and the guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The Castle was incredible!
