Seen Warsaw’s top attraction and looking for something else? Bored with touristy places and want to do something more thrilling? Join our bus tour to the dark side of Warsaw – the infamous Praga district.
Every Saturday morning there’s a retro Jelcz bus called Cucumber waiting to take you to Praga for a 2.5-hour tour. To make sure you come back in one piece there’ll be a guide to help you navigate the district.
Our first stop will be a chocolate lounge next to the chocolate factory. Here, get to know the story of the company producing sweets in Warsaw since the mid-19th century and taste a cup of their delicious hot chocolate. The next stop will be Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus which is one of the most impressive religious buildings in Warsaw. It’s architecture was inspired by the Roman basilica of St. Paul.
Then take a look at a former vodka factory, Koneser, and find out what delicacies where made there and what is in this complex now.
After that go to the New Praga district to see where Roman Polański filmed “The Pianist”. From here, you will head back to the Palace of Culture and Science.
