Description

We will take a look at the cities less known places, visit both banks of the Vistula river and discover many faces of the Polish capital city. We will ride a retro Polish Nysa 522 minivan.

We will surprise our guests with little-known anecdotes about the history of the city and Poland. The companion of your adventure will be a professional and a little twisted local guide.

We will start on Grzybowski Square, which is the epicenter of capital contrasts - from pre-war buildings, through relics of communism, to modern skyscrapers of the future. We will discover the secrets of Warsaw courtyards, look at the gates to feel the breeze of another city, slightly hidden from the eyes of onlookers. We will get to know the places where Varsovians meet, we will see where hipsters and nature enthusiasts go to. The River Vistula will reveal its secrets - after all it is the queen of Polish rivers. The eastern part of the city is located on the right bank of the river - Warsaw's Praga district. We will touch the buildings that survived the war and we will stop for refreshments at the local bar.

See different faces of the city, experience new things, get ready for an adventure!

Awesome tour!
A tour in a Nysa van is a great idea, you can really feel the atmosphere of the past. Our guide Kasia was amazing, she knows everything about the city and has many small sidestories, which make you really interested in the history of the city. It was great fun, really worth it and I would recommend it to everyone who is looking for a really original tour. I wish there was a tour like this in every interesting place in the world cause it really makes you fall in love with the place. Great job guys!
Great tour
Unfortunately we had to leave the tour halfway as my daughter was not well. Kasia was very pleasant and the tour was very informative. Kasia was co-operative and assisted us in getting a taxi back to our hotel.
Nice Van nice Lunch bad Guide
Great and interesting
Fantastic Tour
What a great way to see Warsaw! The Nysa van is a novelty and definitely not the most comfortable but all the same a cool way to drive through the streets of the city. Artur was our guide and was fantastic, he was so knowledgable and made the day very fun! I would highly recommend for anyone looking to learn a bit more, Warsaw is so big and we wouldn’t of gotten to everything had we tried ourselves. It’s a gem!!
Iconic retro tour
Taking the tour, it was clear that everything was very well planned and executed. Yet, the guide was as enthusiastic as if it were the first time. The overview of Poland's history given by the guide was by far the clearest and most engaging version that we experienced during our stay in Warsaw. We really enjoyed this tour despite the hot summer weather (which made the van hot) and can recommend it to anyone visiting Warsaw.
Joanna and Nick were excellent
We were a party of six who had an entire van to ourselves and the driver. There were three other parties in additional vans. The tour, which lasted approximately four hours with the meal, was the perfect way to ingratiate yourself to Warsaw. We learned the history, architecture, and were able to get a full layout of the city. Thank you Nick and Joanna.
Awesome tour with great guide
We loved this tour, we saw loads of different parts of the city that we would never of found on our own. Pawel was a very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about Warsaw and it’s history and architecture. We also really enjoyed the lunch at the milk bar and I adored the gorgeous pink van we were transported around in. Thank you for a great day x
Very informative tour!
Bartek is very knowledgeable and a great guide.
The tour is well worth attending!
Great introduction to Warsaw
Myself and two friends wanted to spend our first day in Warsaw getting an idea of its layout and learn some interesting facts about the city. This was the perfect tour. Our guide Lukasz was great - very polite, friendly and full of energy and knowledge. The weather was pretty grim - cold, windy with rain and snow and the vintage van really gave you an idea of how it must have been for people back in the 70's and 80's when vehicles didn't have any of today's mod cons. The tour itself was interesting and well paced and the lunch stop was perfect. The little museum of communist life was a nice addition - lots of trinkets and objects that people would have used in their everyday lives. I recommend the tour if you've not been to Warsaw before and want to spend a few hours getting to know the place.
Great way to see Warsaw
We did the 4 hr off the beaten track experience on Friday morning after arriving on Thursday. Our guide was very informative and helped us to understand anything we wanted to know about Warsaw and Poland.
The trip covers so many parts of the city that you would not find in a tourist book and the history behind everything is fascinating.
Lunch in a milk bar was definitely an experience we would not have done if not for the trip. And it was worth it!!! The food was amazing local cuisine and the value was incredible.
All in all a very good trip in a retro bus :)
Thank you!
A tale of Poland’s quirky history ...
Although themed as a tour of Poland’s Communist past, it turned out to be far more than that. A thee-plus hour potted history of the country’s yesteryear, triumphant and tragic by turns, never dull or uninspiring. The story of daily life under the Communist regime was particularly amusing, but behind the smiles lay the misfortunes of a country that has seemingly never ceased to suffer. The lamentable treatment of the Jews and minorities in WWII, the Warsaw Ghetto, the Nazis, the futile and costly wartime uprisings against tyranny, the Soviets, all culminating in the rise and fall of Communism. And then, after the Communists were sent packing in the late-80s, a palpable sense of hope for Poland’s future as a proud, independent member of the European family. The history of a country covered with humility, respect, not to mention a great sense of humour. I enjoyed the tour very much.
excellent guide
we had Lukas as our guide and his knowledge, wit and sense of fun made it a very enjoyable and different way to see a part of the city I normally would not notice. I highly recommend this tour. The busses are great fun and you get to know your fellow group members very quickly.
good overview of city
Great tour, good value
This tour was a highlight of our short stay in Warsaw. Our guide Mariusz was engaging and had an impish sense of humor. His knowledge of history and first-hand accounts of living through the Communist era were fascinating and we came away with not only a greater appreciation of Poland but with a desire to return and explore more of the country.

I recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the 'real' Warsaw and gain some insight into its history and culture. It was also a lot of fun and great value for money. If you're going to Warsaw, book this tour, you won't be sorry.
Five stars!
the tour was really nice and we also liked the guide very much, (cant remember her name, but quite small lady with blond hair)
She was knowledgable and told us some nice personal stories also.
5 out of 5 top tour the best bit was Adam crashing the tour bus brilliant! Cheers!
5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the Warsaw Off the Beaten Path Tour! Our guide was very informed and helpful and the tour in general exceeded our expectations. The tasty lunch at an authentic milk bar was also a nice experience. We would warmly recommend this tour to everyone visiting Warsaw!
Everything about the tour was fantastic!
Hi! Everything about the tour was fantastic! I rate it 5!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only annoyance was that even as I emailed about the hotel I got a text message the evening before the trip asking for info about where we stay. It was a perfect day and they even managed to get the bag my old mum left in the car back to our hotel! Super!
We had a very engaged and active guide, to whom we could ask questions about this and that. Maybe it would have been worthwhile to spend some 15-20 minutes inside the Palace of Culture and Science, not only look at it from the outside.
Our guide Adam picked us up a the hotel in this amazing van. We had a great tour, Adam really is a good guide, explaining everthing there is to say about Warsaw. After lunch in a 'milk bar' with nice Polish food, we went to the museum and finished with wodka!

I would recommend this trip to everybody if you don't want a 'normal' hop on hop off tour. This is so much more fun!
We were picked up by the guide Mariusz in the old communist van, and to have a drive in that was an amazing experience in itself. Apart from that our guide was a person with an incredible knowledge about Warsaw, Poland and able to answer all of our many questions. His good sense of humour also added some spices to the tour. I have often heard firms claiming that what they do is untraditional, but it this case it REALLY was very untraditional and worth all the money. All the interesting stories and anecdotes you hear and the interesting places you see, and the authentic food you get which is actually real tasty. This is definitely a tour we will always remember for the good. I had never expected it to be SO interesting as it turned out to be. Try it, you wont regret it. Dont miss this experience.
How do you make a cold and snowy Monday morning enjoyable, informative and fun? Book Mario as your guide for a tour of Warsaw with this company!

He was very amiable and made the group feel like friends from the word go. The van was definitely an authentic 'bone shaker' but that just added to the journey in my opinion.

Mario was incredibly knowledgeable about Poland and its history, spoke excellent English and you could tell he had a thirst for good discussion (we even spoke about current affairs related to Poland!).

I would highly recommended this company and the unique spin placed on the tour - off the beaten track, with a guide who has an amazing library of information, lunch in a REAL Polish milk bar (we ate with the locals), and a ride in an original communist vehicle. A fabulous day, fantastic vfm.
