Berlin is flat as pancake and locals are in desperate need of a place where can get a bit of an overview - without paying for it, obviously. So everytime a Berliner feels like mountaineering he climbs up the hard way to 66 metres above sea level (Central Berlin´s highest natural elevation) and enjoys the view from the upper side of Viktoriapark.

The view is not exactly outstanding, but Viktoriapark is definitely a nice place to visit and relax. On a summer day you can lay down on the surrounding meadows and enjoy the sun or pay a visit to the (artificial) waterfall close by. The National Monument on top reminds of soldiers that fell to Napoleon´s troops in the Prussian liberation wars.
Close by you can go shopping or have a coffee or drink in lively Bergmannstraße.
