Hello, I’m Maria, a private travel guide in Georgia. Tbilisi became my home 6 years ago and ever since then I’ve been exploring every corner of the country, taking the craziest routes and making unforgettable memories.
I became a guide not because I had to, but because I really wanted to share my passion for Georgia with visitors. It’s still my dream job! Travelling has taught me that we’re all different, and that’s why I create tailor-made tours for each of my guests.
I love showing visitors another side of Tbilisi, the one that you won’t find in the guidebooks. For example, I know the city’s socialist architecture well, from grand buildings and monuments to abandoned cable car stations, and am always finding beauty in decay.
I also love introducing people to the food scene beyond the fancy restaurants: typical diners where office workers eat, a small fast food spot that all local kids love, and an old restaurant that’s still popular today.

Description
This private tour is a perfect combination of Kakheti’s most scenic spots.
You’ll see the toy-like town of Signagi, with its red roofs, tiny streets, and marvellous view over the Alazani Valley. Here we will also have a small wine tasting of natural Georgian wines made by the ancient Qvevri technology.
You’ll also visit the ancient Bodbe Monastery, which is lovingly taken care of by the nuns and is a strong contrast with its rose bushes and white churches to the monks led Gareji monastery.
The final stop is the unique David Gareja cave monastery on the Georgian-Azerbaijani border. It has a special spiritual atmosphere and is surrounded by a beautiful deserted landscape.

The mountain view near the David Gareja was unexpectedly spectacular. The driver was also kind to offer me typical breakfast with bread and cheese. The story of David was new to me and was very interesting to listen to. Lastly had tasty wines and chacha with amazing view of the Alazani valley at Signagi.
Definitely worth a visit.

I’m half Georgian and had been there before, but Levan and Datho showed us new places I had never stopped at on the way. This here, is the reason to invest to good local guides and skilled drives, you get to see places and know things about places you would have not seen without them.
Thank you all, we had a great day, I recommed this trip to everyone strongly 🙏😊
