Description
Taking the train from Berlin, you’ll enter Potsdam by crossing the famous “Bridge of Spies”, where US and Soviet forces exchanged spies during the Cold War. The bridge offers magnificent views of the Gothic revival-style Babelsberg Palace, built in the 19th century for Germany’s Empress Augusta.
The next stop is the 18th-century New Garden where you’ll see the Cecilienhof Palace – the venue of the 1945 Potsdam Conference, as well as Frederick William II’s Marble Palace with its faux Greek ruins. Afterwards, you’ll visit the picturesque Dutch Quarter in the centre of Potsdam. Stop for some coffee and cake or relax with a German beer, perhaps?
During the final part of the tour you’ll pass through Potsdam’s very own Brandenburg Gate and into the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Sanssouci Park. Sanssouci, which means “without worries”, was built by Prussia’s most beloved king, Frederick the Great. You’ll walk through the terraced gardens up to his summer home to finish your tour in style.
Afterwards, you can stay in Potsdam and explore the royal gardens or join your guide for the journey back to Berlin.

i would highly recommend both OBW and David.
However, when it comes to logistics, the tour wasn't successful at all. First, it was entirely based on public transportation, meaning we had to rush from spot to spot to make the next tram/bus/train and had very little time in each attraction to absorb the beauty of the town.
Second, the tour was much shorter than advertised. The ad (and the booking) said it would be 6 hours long. In reality, we met in Berlin at 9:45, left at 9:55 (without two group members, but that's a whole different story), and finished the tour in Potsdam at 15:00. My math gives me 5 hours and change, not including the (self-governed) ride back to Berlin. I don't know where the extra hour went, but we would have made good use of it - for example in longer stops, photo ops, tours inside at least one of the free-entry palaces, etc.
All in all, the content of the tour was OK, but the organization was amateur at best.

Dave was so knowlegable, considerate and amusing.
We learnt so much that truly helped us enjoy our further few days in Berlin. Fantastic information passed on in a way that was easy to understand and easy to remember.
Dave included everyone and spent the right amount of time at each stage if the tour.
Everyone felt comfortable and we didn't want the tour to end. It was the highlight of our holiday.
Thank you.
